Critical Knowledge for Academics

Communicating your ideas and research is a vital part of academic work. While the ability to write is important, editing comprises a distinct set of skills that are just as essential for effective communication.

Academics are constantly required to not only edit their own work for dissemination and publication but also assist their students and colleagues with their theses, manuscripts, papers and grants. Though there are plenty of opportunities to hone your writing, academics often lack the specific training needed to edit efficiently
and effectively.
